gabrielle took a snowboarding lesson...
over the weekend at eldora ski resort.......
eldora is about 40 minutes away, straight up boulder canyon........
luckily, it was a beautiful, warmish, clear day with no wind......
she stayed the entire day,
rosy cheeks and all......
paul and i couldn't wait to get back up there later in the afternoon to see how she went........
and she couldn't wait to show us.........
here she comes......
you got it.......
NICE!
then back up the magic carpet.........
again, and again and again.
she absolutely loved it and can't wait to get back up there next weekend.....
well done gabrielle!!!
i guess it's time to pack away christmas.......
thank you to all our family and friends for sending us christmas cards filled with photos, newsletters and
heartfelt holiday greetings........
we love to hang your cards in the family room windows
to have you join in our family christmas festivities through the holidays!!
it's nice to feel you are close by.......
this year, our amaryllis bulbs first blossomed on new years day........
they are a rosy and bright addition to an otherwise
flowery absent january world...
12 new inches of snow fell on sunday..........
so we are going to make snow ice cream,
have you ever tried it?
first, gather a bowl full of freshly fallen snow (in dad's boots)
in another large bowl, mix:
1 can evaporated milk and 1/2 cup sugar until sugar is dissolved...
add 1 teaspoon vanilla
and stir in as much snow as needed.....
to look and taste like vanilla ice cream.
ENJOY!
best ever!!!
