snow play

golden days nursery school is back in session..........

i missed seeing lila & ryan each week over the holidays.

hmmm, guess what lila's favorite color is.....

today we read the story snow by uri schulevitz

so we bundled ourselves up and spent a lot of time playing in the snow......

we tramped down to the stream to see what we could find.......

an icy stream and snowy mountains......

 we disturbed a gray heron that was fishing 

and then we watched him as he pumped his great wings

 and flew away.......

we watched roxy go ice skating......

and sniff for things under the snow........

we saw a handsome blue jay and his mate..........

and then we got very cold so we came inside and drank hot chocolate by the fire.

all better now.......

gabi invted her friend rylie over to our house after school today. 

 they came off the bus speaking french (un peu) 

and requested croissants avec nutella for an afterschool snack.

they decided to eat their croissants on the tramp, so roxy decided to jump with them, hoping for a taste.

it is basketball season........

gabi had bball practice tonight with her cute team......

their first game is saturday.......

gabi is hoping to play point guard.

the boys had a bball game tonight........
