on the evening news...

one of our favorite winter meals is
erwtensoep
it reminds us of the misty, moisty, dark dutch winter spent in the land below the water line.
split pea and ham soup is a classic dutch meal.

served with creamy-buttered, pumpernickle bread, it is a complete and comforting winter's supper.

nancy drew.

gabi and i have been reading books from the nancy drew series together lately.
she's enjoying getting to know this clever and instinctive teen sleuth.
while I'm loving revisiting my tween years' favorite means of escape and adventure.
hey, maybe this is where i got my love of convertibles.......

"Nancy quickly slipped behind the wheel of her snappy, blue convertible and headed towards the wharf..."

hi gabi, how was your day?

roxy and i take a walk to collect the mail and meet gabi off of the school bus each afternoon.

today, roxy decided to walk gabi home.

her tiny waist is the same size as roxy's neck!!

was that exhausting, girl?
wow! you measure in at about 6 1/2 feet, you loving, lengthy bundle of hairy hound!

in the news......

ben & sebastian play supporting roles on the news tonight!
but you've got to be quick to see them.......

after much research and parent surveys, fairview high school is considering a later start for school next year.  fox 31 news visited the school to investigate the possible proposal....

when you see the number 9 on the screen you'll see ben just to the right of the middle of the screen with a black shirt on and moving, then...

you'll see the number 7 on the screen,
quickly look to the left side and sab is standing with a group of friends.  he is wearing brown pants, a red coat and his back pack....
check them out here
