look what came visiting the property yesterday....

paul took these adorable photos to show us what we were missing while we were still in steamboat.

yikes, when mamma bear turned her head, paul decided to turn back to the house.

meanwhile, back in steamboat springs......

gabi, gpa and i visited the botanical gardens.

look at all the colorful tulips!

and i found the most beautiful spring bulb garden.

inspiration for a perfect spot in my garden.

i will start working on it this autumn.

in the very center of the gardens, we discovered the largest lawn umbrella we've ever seen.

we dreamed of white garden furniture and an afternoon tea beneath it's shade.

gabi, gpa and i packed a picnic and spread out a blanket next to the pond.

we talked of wind in the willows and the secret garden.

look who arrived in the evening.

margo left work and drove 2 1/2 hours up to steamboat to spend the rest of the week with us.

hooray!!

we couldn't wait to take margo around this adorable town.

we panned for "gold" and semi precious stones.

we revisited the alpine slide so margo could have a go.

played dominos and card games with grandpa.

swimming, more picnics and walks down mainstreet 

and our visit has come to an end.

we had such a wonderful time together and loved being with grandpa and making memories.

it was so relaxing and beautiful and we all are leaving refreshed and rejuvenated. 

thanks grandpa and thanks steamboat, we will return.

we are back home and summer arrived while we were away.

we spent the evening with friends at a nearby lake.

a long evening, a fire and picnic.  the perfect kickoff to summer.

gabi and her friend zack fished all evening and then had a water fight.

ben and sebastian drove to provo, utah last week after leaving steamboat.

ben was invited to a football camp at byu.  so our family was spread all 

over the west........ it was a bit unnerving to me.

at the close of the day,

ben and sab arrived safely back home 

so we are altogether again, except for nicole but after speaking to her this evening.

i am feeling all is well.
