so, last saturday we went to see
and we all really enjoyed it.
so much so that the boys couldn't stop talking about it.
it has now inspired them to make a movie.
so all day yesterday was spent in production.
it is now in edit mode and hopefully it will be
coming soon
to the blog.
midsummer's day
gabi and i have shared a midsummer tradition
of whimsy and imagination
since she was a little, tiny thing.
there is a legend that on midsummer night, the fairy realm holds its annual revels.
fairies love a party and so it is said that any human child
who prepares a feast for the fairies on midsummer night will be rewarded.
so she spends the day preparing elfin-size cookies and fruity drinks all served on
thimble sized cups and plates.
and through the summers of her childhood, she has woken the morning after to find fairy thank you gifts such as crystals, jewels and magical tokens.
one of the most fun parts of the preparation is choosing the location for the fairy celebration
and decorating the venue with flowers, pretty rocks and stick structures.
this evening she chose a perfect spot across the pond above.
it is nestled among a beautiful vine with views of the waterfall and flower beds.
let the magic begin......
and tonight, i will read a favorite fairy tale from this
gorgeous book given to me by a friend.
sweet dreams.....
