spectacles

sebastian got glasses!

the last couple of weeks of school, he was saying that he wasn't able to see as well as he used to.

it turns out that often times when boys have a growth spurt  (that is sebastian for sure!)

 their eyes can change quickly as well.

yesterday, we got a call from the optometrist saying that his glasses had come in.  

he chose some old school frames.......

so we picked them up and decided to head to the movies to try out his new spectacles.

he loves them!  

he walked out the door.......

"check out the leaves on the trees and the snow on the mountains!"

"wow, i forgot how detailed clouds are!"

pretty sad, poor boy.

but now, all is well.

gabi is on a 3v3 soccer team this summer.

what a quick game 3v3 is.

with all the soccer she plays, she goes through cleats pretty quickly.

she needed a new pair and so we headed off to the sports store.

usually when i shop with my girls it is a 2 hour ordeal of......

"mom, what do you think?  do you like them?  i'm not quite sure.

i'll have to try them on.  wait, look at those.  mom, what do you think? do you like them.

i'm not quite sure.  wait, look at those.  should we try another shop? etc. etc.

but, i lucked out this time.  as soon as she spotted these bright babies on the shelf, she

knew they were the ones!  gabrielle written all over them.

they make quite the spectacle on the field!
