homecoming weekend

it is fairview high school's homecoming weekend!

it is a tradition in american high schools, colleges and universities

to invite alumni back to their schools once a year and celebrate

with a homecoming football game and formal dance.

this is the game to go all out!

students wear the school colors to school and then to the game.

the fairview stands were a sea of red and black.

(can you spot #30?)

the band leads the crowd in the school song and other high spirited chants!

the fairview knight mascot also pumps up the fans!

the half time festivities include an amazing production by the 

fairview marching knights.

the poms and the crowning of the 

homecoming king and queen.

so many friends and family came for this very fun game!

alisa and fam came to cheer on the knights!!

lost the game, but we had tons of fun!

then, the saturday night homecoming dance

both ben and sab asked dates to the homecoming dance.

sab asked katherine.  isn't she adorable?

sab, i hope you don't mind if i share this but he asked her to the homecoming dance

in such a fun way.

"we were sitting in class and the teacher asked if there were any questions.  i raised my hand and stood up and said that i had a question.  

katherine, would you go to homecoming with me?  

she was so embarrassed and put her face in her hands, but luckily said yes."

sebastian's group met at the home of one of his friends and had 

a nice dinner together and then headed off to the dance at school.

ben asked his great friend emma to the homecoming dance.

ben, i hope you don't mind either, but i also just have to tell how you asked emma.

"the cheerleaders throw t-shirts to the student fans at the football games and since emma is always in the

front row of the student section (she is one devoted, school-spirited fan) i asked one of the

cheerleaders to make sure that emma caught a special t-shirt that i had written on asking her

to homecoming. 

emma gave me a thumbs up while i was on the field after she caught the t-shirt."

megan is my sister's husband's niece.

it is a tradition for megan and ben to take a photo together at all the formal get togethers.
