october, out and in

ok girl, let's go for a walk....

i replaced the summer potted plants today with 

gold, rust and pumpkin colored mums.

hopefully they will last through the early frosts,

here on the porch.

we've started decorating the house for halloween.

the foyer table display is a collection of white candles,
nicole's black rose painting, gross green moss, scampering mice (caught one), skeleton keys 

and spooky photos of unfortunate distant relatives.
