springtime in colorado

it's a confusing time, spring in colorado. borderline temperatures 30°- 34° have us all wondering will it rain or snow? snow is usually the answer which was what we woke up to on our spring break return from sunny, warm california. really? argh. it broke my heart to see a bewildered duck couple wandering aimlessly in the snow covered garden wondering, "where is our flowing stream?" it's a funny thing, webbed foot prints in the snow. but nevermind, this time of year the snow melts quickly, the pink snowy mountain sunrises are a gift and the ducks settled back into their warmer springtime routine next day joining the freshly hatched bugs, butterflies, bulbs, laundry blowing in the breeze, bright green patches of lawn and the blossoms....oh, the springtime blossoms!
