checking in - fourth of july

i hope your fourth of july weekend was fun, festive and sparked with fireworks!

our family was celebrating here, there and everywhere so i asked each of our children to send me photos of where they were and what they were doing with whom. let's start with:

gabi

she met up with her school besties, all dressed up in red, white and blue for a pool party at a friend's house, then watched the fireworks at university of colorado's football stadium.

sebastian

and his friend caleb, drove up to the mountain town of rollinsville to go fishing.

margo and andrew

happily spent the weekend together working in the garden and hanging out with their pets.

andrew is doing an internship in houston, texas this summer so their weekends together are precious.

nicole and ben & kensey

spent the weekend together in l.a.! 

nicole hosted a party at her house inviting family and friends.

i love seeing them all together.

while in southern california, ben also visited his uncle lance (my brother) and his cute younger cousins.

finally, paul and janet

drove north heading up to the roosevelt national forest. on the way, we followed the cache la poudre river for paul to fish and for me to take photos. it was so cool, so fresh and so beautiful.

this is where we went river rafting last summer. great memories!
